The four Grand Slam tournaments, also called the Majors,  are the most important tennis events of the year in terms of world ranking points, tradition, prize-money awarded, and public attention. They are the Australian Open, the French Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open.

A singles player or doubles team that wins all four Grand Slam tournaments in the same year is said to have achieved the "Grand Slam". If the player or team wins all four consecutively, but not in the same calendar year, it is called a "Non-Calendar Year Grand Slam". Winning all four at some point in a career, even if not consecutively, is referred to as a "Career Grand Slam". Winning the four Majors and a gold medal in tennis at the Summer Olympics has been called a "Golden Slam" since 1988,[citation needed] when Steffi Graf became the only person to accomplish that feat in a single calendar year. Andre Agassi is the only other player to achieve a "Golden Slam". But Agassi did not do it in one calendar year, so his is called a "Career Golden Slam".

Wimbledon top seed Roger Federer returns to Wimbledon's grass courts on Wednesday with a second round match up against Ilija Bozoljac in day three of Wimbledon 2010.

The defending Wimbledon champion struggled through his opening match, coming from two sets down to beat Alejandro Falla in a match that looked destined to oust the tournament favourite.
Following his opening Wimbledon 2010 match Federer claimed that his "whole game was in disarray" at times against Falla. However there is no doubt that Federer will be the favourite against Serbian underdog Bozaljac, with the Swiss top seed eager to reignite his Wimbledon campaign.
Federer v Bozoljac is the final match on Court 1 on Wednesday afternoon. Expect Federer to make a real statement and re-establish himself as Wimbledon favourite against Bozaljac.
